The topic of my doctoral dissertation is the development of an advanced Gut-on-a-Chip microsystem that enables the accurate replication of in vivo conditions for the study of interactions between the gut and the microbiome. The main goal of my research is to create a model to assess the impact of the microbiome on the development of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). By using organ-on-a-chip technology, it will be possible to conduct more precise studies on the mechanisms of these diseases, which will contribute to a better understanding of their pathogenesis and the development of potential therapies.
