My doctoral research focuses on new microfluidic solutions in heart modeling, specifically Heart-on-a-Chip technologies. The aim of my work is to develop a microfluidic heart model based on organoids, which are complex, self-organizing three-dimensional cell cultures, with the use of human stem cells. The developed model will precisely replicate the microenvironment of the human heart in vitro and will be used to investigate cardiotoxicity of various pharmaceutical substances.
