Katarzyna Tokarska

Her multidisciplinary research in biosciences sits at the interface of cell biology, toxicology, bioengineering and Lab on a chip technology. She focuses on optimizing therapeutic strategies  (photodynamic therapies and combination approach) for the treatment of cancer using nanoscale drug delivery systems such as nanocapsules, polymeric micelles and quantum dots at the cellular level. She is also developing functional microfluidic systems for screening of new potential anticancer agents using cell co-cultures. Additionally, she investigates biological impact and mechanism of action of nanosystems for co-delivery of multidrug combinations.
