The goal of my research is to develop and optimise a Brain-on-Chip (BoC) microsystem with a reconstitution of the blood-brain barrier, as well as a multi-Organ-on-Chip (multi-OoC) with three organ modules: brain, liver and heart. The BoC will be used to study the effects of antidepressant drugs on neuronal cells, while the multi-OoC will allow a better understanding of intercellular interactions, including the effects of chemical stressors such as cortisol on selected organ models.
